In shadowed corners, softly whispered nights,
A touch, a spark, ignites impassioned throes.
A blaze set forth in secret, hidden lights,
Emotions laced, in fervor, hunger grows.
Burned into being, spirits, hearts align,
Expressing passion, silent lips confess.
Beyond the curtains, eyes pry, fall benign,
Within, desire burns bright, two souls caress.
In time, the fire’s rage yields to repose,
Beneath the glowing embers’ warm embrace.
Once hidden, guarded, deeper love now shows,
The heat transformed, a softer, lasting grace.
From searing blaze to warmth that fills the room,
A love, once veiled, now evermore in bloom.
For my Valentine.
