In shadowed corners, whisp’ring nights
A touch, a spark, we come alive
We meet in secret, dimming lights
Two hearts learning how to survive
Blazing fire to a steady flame
A love once veiled now fills the room
Behind the curtains we’ll remain
Without the thorns, a rose in bloom
Now we’re not hiding what we are
The heat transformed but holding strong
What burned us bright beneath the stars
Keeps us warm when the night is long

Dear Jamison, this is exquisite love poetry. The words caught the page on fire though. It reminded me of the BeeGees song: Words—
You think that I don’t even mean
A single word I say
it’s only words
and words are all I have
to take your heart away…
Mission accomplished, and then some.
Blessings, my friend.
Sal :))
Oh, Sal… this is such an encouraging review. And from you, someone who is so accomplished, well, that makes it even more special. Thank you… more than you know.
Beautiful, sensual, and exquisite. Again, your creativity captures the true feelings of love. I am looking forward to listening to many more.
Thank you, Paula.
I saw this on another email. It is awesome. Are you the singer? You could put this on you tube etc. and see what kind of reaction you receive. That song is a HIT!
God is good!
Oh, Jim, it is beautiful. It made me hang on every word which is what love poetry is all about, right?! Please keep up the great works. I am really enjoying reading your words. Thank you.
I really like this one, Judy. So glad you did too. Thank you!
What a great poem of love. The music added to the beautiful words is out standing. Thank you Jim for being a good friend, and sharing your works of art with me.
It’s an honor and a major blessing for me to be able to do this. Your friendship and support is what makes it all work.
I must say that I was very moved by this beautiful love story that sounded like a sensual and forbidden love. It was so elegantly written with such tenderness throughout the poem and song.
This piece has a lot of me in it… Someday I will tell you what that means.
Thank you, Debi.
I had already picked up on that. (Smile) Your emotions came through loud and clear, while the poem and song softly and sensually told the story.
However, I am a woman, and we love to hear the details. LOL.
Jamison!
